“Yes, yes, I need Jesus.”
We run a law office in Jacksonville, Florida, specializing in bankruptcy, immigration and deportation. We pray every morning that God would bring people in that are hungry and open to hearing His word. Due to the nature of many of our client’s circumstances, they are in a desperate place and are ready to hear what we have to say. Since roughly half of our clients are Hispanic, all of our office staff is bilingual. We buy the Reina Valera Bibles and give them away after praying with our clients. We do the very best job we can to represent and defend them, but we also want to see them healed and saved.
We recently had a fairly serious criminal situation. Alma Defillo is the senior attorney and was in the courtroom with the client, waiting for the verdict. The judge was discussing some things with several of the other attorneys for a few minutes and Alma felt like it was a specific window of opportunity with the client. She turned to the man and began sharing about the love of Jesus right there on the front row of the courtroom! While waiting for the judge, the client responded to her invitation to surrender his life to Jesus Christ. “Yes, yes, I need Jesus”, he said, almost crying.
