I use this Bible with adults who are learning to read. It is wonderful! They love it even though they are not and have not been in incarcerated. They can identify with prisoners because illiteracy is a prison; they have life sentences. Having a large print is important for adults with low-level reading skills not because they have poor eyesight, but because they are do not have enough familiarity with print to be able to miss even one letter in a word and they do not track as automatically as a proficient reader. Clarity is essential. My students also love the testimonial stories and identify with them.
